1) Opening Ceremony of 18th Weifang International Kite Festival
Undertaken by Weifang Television, the opening ceremony will begin at 7:00pm 
April 20th,2001 at Weifang Stadium. Famous actors or actresses and literature
parties from home and abroad will be invited to offer performance.


2) International Kite Competition and 10,000 People's Kite-flying
The International Kite Competition will be held at Fuyan Mountain Flying Field on 
April 21st and 22nd, 2001. About 110 teams ,900 flyers from various countries, regions , and from some cities at home will be invited to participate in the competition. The Fuyan Mountain Flying Field is the main flying field, and the Weibei Flying Field is the second flying field. This International Kite Competition invites not only high-tech kite teams from  home but also the flying teams of enterprise circle from abroad.  The 10,000 People's Kite-flying will be held on April 21st,2001 at Fuyan Mountain Flying Field.


3) Cultural and amusement activities
During the period of kite festival, series healthy and beneficial literature activities will be held in order to activate the atmosphere of the festival. The following 5 activities will be held:
1.Lamp exhibitions along roads. The lamp exhibitions will be at Yuanfei Road, west side 
of Bailang River, the Stadium Park, Shengli Bridge, Yaxing Bridge and the places 
around them.
2. Festival flowers will be put in front of the gates of units along important roads to set off 
the atmosphere of the festival by contrast.
3.Kite making and flying by students.
4. Dragon boating competition and performance on water on the Kite Capital Lake.
5. Invited National Fishing Competition. 

4) Capital-attraction and Economy & Trade Activities
During the period of 18th Weifang International Kite Festival ,the following
Economy & Trade activities will be arranged:
1. 7th Shandong-Taiwan Economy & Trade Talking Conference.
2.Tourism -products Exhibitions held by Precious Stone City , Changle.
3. Shouguang International Vegetable Fair.
4. Linqu Rare-stone Exhibition &Selling Conference.
